I have some customers looking for a lipo ready ul-1 esc with a stock sv27 motor. In theory it should work fine, but looking to see if any of you have had real work experience with the combo? If so how did the esc handle it?

Confused Steven, which is normal for me
are you asking if the UL1 ESC is compatable with the SV27 standard motor

I don't see why people wouldn't just use the much better motor of the UL1 set up. Unless this ESC is a replacement for the SV esc."Look good doin' it"

Because its not all that better for some setups. Sure for a hydro it is, but what about a heavier cat? Or big mono?Originally posted by Jesse J View PostI don't see why people wouldn't just use the much better motor of the UL1 set up. Unless this ESC is a replacement for the SV esc.Steven Vaccaro

I can only say from what other members have stated that the UL1 ESC is prone to problems..Low voltage cutoff etc. which I have not experienced myself.

Look at the specs for the SV ESC and see if it also has 10 degree timing locked in. That is the only issue.

the UL-1 esc from you(Just sent Money Order). I am going to use it on my SV27
powerplant. Aquacraft told me no problems. It is better for thw SVMotor more so if you are going to use Lipos. There is no problem using it with the SV Motor. Regards

In my UL-1 I have used large props (detunged x645) with the SV27 motor/esc combo without a problem...other than the motor getting VERY HOT!
LVC of the UL-1 esc is a joke. Yes it will stutter, but then die suddenly on pond.. Maybe the newer UL-1's will not have same problem. I hope you do not pop a cap using the UL-1 esc.
