What prop would work best on the 1515 1.5y on 5s....

The V/937 OR 35..


Will these be better to run on 5s than the x442-445 on a hydro??

The V series props have so much lift I couldn't make them work. They would cause my hulls to hop like crazy. Your better bet would be to go with a little cupping on a 440 or 442

I have had good results with the 937 and the 935 on riggers... keep in mind they need different shaft sizes, the 935 is 1/8 shaft and the 937 3/16.
They do have a good amount of lift and are not meant to be used for long periods of time, they will draw a good amount of amps and generate a lot of heat.
For longer runs they will not be better for a hydro then the other mentioned props, you'd be better off using a 445 and maybe a 642. Also like Joe said working the prop a bit you may get a good result of a smaller 440 or 442.
If you must go with a V series just for short "wow" runs, I think the 937 would work, but start with a 935 to get a feeling for it w/o burning stuff up.

Using 5s with a NUE 1515 1.5Y your combo will spin an unloaded rpm of 28,500. I would try the simple M445 prop by Octura in your Phil Thomas SS 21.

My combo using 4s with a NUE 1515 1y will spin an unloaded rpm of 32,560 rpm. I am using the smaller Grimracer L38 x 55 in my UL-1. Speeds are approaching 60mph with that setup. I think my UL will haul the mail faster using the Grimracer L40 x x57/3 prop.

M series are great props... just sharpen/balance and play.

I tried the V935/3, not cut down as Diego did and I tried to burn stuff up. You know I'm going to try again though, with a little different setup!

Well the Idea was to get the fastest 3-blade prop for my Neu setup, I think it would be great to swap up props real quick and do a couple of short, on and off fast runs on the v/937.

I was planning on running the X442 the first time I run this setup, then move up a few and see what prop really hauls on 5s without alot of heat or damage.

I was watching Youtube, and I looked up this prop, there are very few video's
of this prop in action, could be a reason tho.

There was a video with a Votex hydro running the V935, Feigao 540l 2235 and it hauls the mail as Diegoboy says.

Of course this is a whole diffrent setup that Im using. Watch the vid, Im sure some have already seen it..

I have detongued my 935 a bit... have not had the chance to try it yet, but it should work just fine.
