This is my H & M Spider and it goes really well on Feigao 8XL on 4S.

I was thinking about a twin-wing and now you have me sniffing around at 3 wing hydros.
So many nice boats and so much paper to draw on.
Now what do I do.

Search, read, ask, draw, build. Thats now my plan.

I didn't want the big scoop either and found a twin wing unlimited light to base mine on, check out UL-5 miss Bakers Equipment.

It'll be a tricky little bugger to copy, but I am sure you are up to the challenge.
Hull length is 25 inches and width is 13 inches.
It handles great, but because it was designed for heavy NiMh cells I have had to add lead to the sponson tips for the lighter lipos.
The c/g needs to be 1 inch behind the sponsons.
The only place for the batteries in in the cockpit area ahead of the motor, so I would suggest on your version moving the cockpit/nose further forward so that the battery weight is further forward.

Hey Diago, Nice UL-5, I have never seen one before and in glass too who makes it? It looks very big, how big is it, 1/6th scale?

She's 1/8 scale. 45" long. H&M t-plus

I built a twin-wing hydro, based off scaled down Roger Newton plans for the 1993 Circus Circus (but without the turbine intake.) The boat is 26" long and powered by a UL-1 motor/ESC.

Overall it runs really nicely but we do get quite a bit of water spray up between the wings as it comes up on plane. We have found a couple props that worked great on other boats, but would not get this one up and running - probably due to the extra drag before it comes up on plane. Once on plane it is nice and stable.

The original design could have movable trailing edges to the two wings which might be a nice design option for testing/tweaking of the twin wings.
