silicone for waterproofing?

Anybody know if its ok to put some silicone on the ends of a hydra120-240 to help waterproof it?

DON'T USE HOUSEHOLD SILICONE - as it cures it releases acetic acid (smells like vinegar and eats metal in the ESC). Use an electronics-grade silicone - they put out alcohol instead.

What you want is called neutral cure silicone
