    Motor question

I am using a brushed 700 drill motor. Not knowing it at the time, I removed the "torque ring" from it thinking it was a part of the drill construction and only needed while in a tool...oops. I have run the boat and all seems fine...am I going to damage the motor without it? Thanks

The motor should be fine. Put it back on if you still have it. No damage was done.

Thanks for the reply...umm, I tossed it. I feel dumb now! I can get another one, but I don't mind the performance, the boat it just for fun. As long as nothing is going to blow up and cause other things to blow up, I'm fine without it. I'll be moving to a brushless soon and am using this motor to test the boat out and get on the water. Thanks!!!
