    Better efficiency all around. Maybe this design could be adapted for an outboard type setup.

      I like the "undisturbed water" idea. Now to make a "U" bend in my flex cable.

              You won't see it on too many boats - the prop is going to suck itself into the mud and/or find debris, rather than having the foot deflect it.

                  Believe it or not... we have a guy in our club who is experimenting with a TS2 tunnel that has the lower unit mounted backwards on the FRONT of the hull! I haven't seen it go yet...

                              I'll see what I can find... From what I've heard... as you can imagine... it hooks like crazy... and keeps climbing off the water...

                              Probably the wrong hull type to be trying this on... with the motor in the front, there will be TONS of lifting action... and on a hull that's already designed to fly... it's not likely to work really well... but I admire him for thinking so far outside the box!

                                  This would be yet another full-scale technology searching for an application in models. We already have props which operate in undisturbed water - the surfacing props used on 90% of all FE boats. The inefficiencies required to make it work in FE boats would render it far less suitable for fast boats. Perhaps for slower boats.....
