Hi, I have 2 Neu 1515 1Y with Hydra 120 and I am planning to build a cat. Is this fine to use in a MHZ Mystic 114 hull, or is it to high kv? I am thinkin to start with this motors and maybe upgrade to 1521 or equal later. I was thinkin to drive with 4 cells, and I hope to do around 60mph. Its ment for oval driving, not saw. Hope to get some feedback :-)

The hull is 114cm (45"). Its almost same size as the HPR 115. Its many setups with 1940 in the HPR, and thats close to the 1515 I think. But the best solution is probably 1521. But since I have 1515 1Y that would be perfect to start with...Originally posted by Boatman View PostI dont know what length that hull is but the setup with the 1515 1Y on 4S is a pretty good setup for up to 40" twin since the only readily available props are the 442's.

They might work fine. Start with them and if not happy go to 1521. The 1515/1Y is very popular and what most people use on 4s with 42-45 props.Twin Cat 135, Sprintcat40 (single-twin), DF 35", Maritimo, Mean Machine, SV 27

The 2500W is the max. the motor can run, not the actual, it depends on the prop. With a 45mm prop. it should be around 1500W. Also from what I read (not from experience) with twin motors the load is reduced on each motor and can fit bigger props than using one motor.Twin Cat 135, Sprintcat40 (single-twin), DF 35", Maritimo, Mean Machine, SV 27
