    monohull handling ?

I have a 18" mini vee. This is a solid little boat. It has a long can 20mm 3000kv motor. It is fun in rough water with a 2slipo and screaming fast with a 3s lipo but if there is any wave even it's own wake it gets very squirrely (wobbles side to side) with the 3s. If you don't let up on the throttle it will wipe out. I'm wondering if there are any adjustments to be made to solve this? I went down a prop size, didn't seem to make a difference. Should I try a lower kv motor with 3s or a faster motor with 2s. I know there may be many answers to this problem and I don't mind experimenting I'm just looking for opinions.
    Ebay item# 300285105959 for picture

    Thanks

Do you have any turn fins or trim tabs installed on the hull?
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.
