I want to build a boat mono or catamaran maximum 40" length, that will be able to handle 65mph easily. I mean to be able to always reach this speed and turn safely (ok not at full throttle) and not on glass like conditions. Can monohulls reach this speed and be stable? I believe a cat will be a better solution but I do not know. What do you suggest for hull, motor, propeller and batteries setup? Run time about 3 mins. I will really appreciate your answers. Budget max. 1000$.

Unless you have good cells already, I dont think you'll be able to do it. And you may need a 2p battery setup.
Neu 2215 is $500
Hydra 180HV $380 240HV $450
Handware $100
Thats $1000 there and no hull or batteries. You may be able to use the 1527 also and say $200. Others will chime in...My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

What are you really looking for, just a good fast play boat or do you plan to race??
My 10S2P 44-inch DF Sniper mono will do 65 mph all day long (OK 4 minutes max) with a 3080/8. But for that you are looking at well over $3,000.
So I'd think hard about what you really want to do. Your title says "SAWS" but then you are talking about 3 minute runs. It's one or the other and as has been said in FE the faster you go the less time you get. It is a balance.Don't get me started

There is no hull (40")l that will achieve to what you desire as you have posted. Water conditions etc, have a huge bearing on the outcome The budget and run times are not realistic IMO

you could do a DF 41" with a 1527 1y HV controler running 8s 2p right prop should be there
or a 36" sprint cat with same set up actully on 6s would be close
or 36" team beliver cat
either of the cats would be in the 70mph range on 8s
just some ideas

i always look at it this way FAST,CHEAP,RELIABLE you can pick any two. i have a cheap 32" cat that reaches over 60 mph that i built. it can run for 3 minutes and so far has been reliable. but boats are like any motor sport its cheap to get to a certein speed but for every mph after that the cost rises rather sharply. also think about if you are prepared to loose your boat, at 65 mph you can destroy a boat rather quickly, i have been lucky with mine so far as i have had acouple of blow overs but only one did damage (cracked sponsons) but it is a cheap hull so does damage a lot easier than a qaulity one. and at those speeds things happen really quickly, but if you get used to a resonable fast boat it makes a big difference to when you go back to running slower boats
just my 2c scott
and no i dont race the cat as it wouldnt handle race water at that speed
