Flex shaft Pro Marine Phantom

I can't find anything online for the phantom and misplaced the manual.

I don't wanna start ripping it apart.
It's sat for close to 4 years. I'm struggling trying to figure out removal of flex shaft.
I watched a video of another v hull boat but don't wanna screw something up.
I've loosened the 2 collects.
I searched and nothing phantom exclusive.

Post pictures of your setup. I believe ProMarine used a standard flex cable and motor collet setup in that boat. If that's the case, after the collet is loose, you should be able to pull the cable out from the strut, sometimes a little bit of a clockwise (when looking at the boat from the rear) twist while pulling can help.

Does the cable still spin in the brass stuffing tube or has it locked up completely from lack of maintenance?

Cable spins.
It moves about 1/8" and stops like it's still attached.
Crap, didn't know i was supposed to grease it if it wasn't being run.

Lets assume the cable is rusted in place. There appears to be a teflon liner in that stuffing tube. If you remove the mounting hardware from the strut on the rear of the hull, you may be able to pull the cable and liner out of the stuffing tube together as one piece. If you get it out, you can replace the liner, then work on separating the cable from the strut and order/make a replacement cable the same length.

I can see the cable rotating thru the loose collet.
I started taking strut apart but stopped to get online & ask.
Supposedly any Pro marine support has been non existent for years now.

From the pics it looks like you could maybe unbolt just the two long bolts holding the strut onto the mount, remove the strut and the cable as one then get the cable out easier. If you can see the end of the cable moving freely in the collet, then it may be stuck just in the bearing or bushing in the strut, if it has one. I've removed stuck cables like this before

It may be stuck in the collet. You can try and grab the drive dog with pliers and pull.

If you can see the cable spinning in the collet, then the tip of the cable has likely mushroomed. You're going to need more pulling force, or possibly spread open the gaps of the collet fingers with a flat head screwdriver.
