Hi All, just placed an order with Manfred Kulz for a four layer exocet 125 hull. Kent from Custom CF parts will be supplying me a full package of CF parts and hardware. I am planning to keep a diary of the build here.

I have ordered 2 x 400A 12s flier escs and some TP4070 1800kv motors. With hindsight I wonder if some motors with a higher kv rating would have been better. I'm planning on using 8s batteries btw. I have two sets of props. 5014 and 5015. I saw for sale on off shore electrics some three bladed props 50mm diameter but with a pitch of 1.8 I think it was. I'm wondering if some really high pitch props would be a good investment for some SAW runs? Any comments or advice would be appreciated!

I have seen some 1.9 pitch 50mm diameter props on the off shore electrics website too. Would these props be *!***!***!***!** for my set up for SAW running?

Hi Tommy, I think you should double check that setup.. unless you've changed your mind into a pure SAW setup,
for example - my HPR which is 10cm shorter with motors that are 300kv less is doing circa 125mph on 8s and 50mm props... it runs 85mph oval setup on 6s and 44mm props
Also Flier haven't exactly been known as top quality ESC's, you'd be much better off getting some XLX2 Hydra's, they are a much better esc and about half the weight of a flier 400amp from some quick researchHpr 06 / 09 / 150 /185, Mhz Skater H45 hydro.

Thank you for your reply and advice! The on line speed calculator on here says with 1800kv, 8s and a prop with 1.4 pitch and 50mm diameter will do 83mph. Am I putting tye information in wrong? Could you recommend a decent set up for me?
