know of a motor about the same size that has that front mounting hole center to center at 24mm? In replacing the fried 4092 Leo, i need to have the same hole center as replacing the front motor mount would be a challenge at my age, not something easily done. Not sure I want to go with another Leopard mtr ...
hole center for Leopard 4092 is 24mm , does anyone

Are you sure it's 24mm? According to Leopard, it's a standard 25mm, using M3 screws...ie. a standard 540 mount.

Go to the OSE website. Go to the "motors" category. Go to "brushless motors" subcategory. Check out all the 4082 & 4092 motors, specifically looking at the ones with the same, or similar, kv.Originally posted by paulejr View Postwhy sure , let me check me eye sight again..... yup 25 mm. didn't answer my question tho....

If you measure the rotor length and stack length you will see the Leopard is much better than the Rocket motors. IF the Rocket motors were as good then you would see people saving a couple bucks sending them for rewind from new for spec classes. People do take their motors apart and compare them to other brands. Rocket leaves a LOT of airspace inside their motors and the air gap between the rotor and stack is larger than Leopard, etc..
I bought a 3670 Rocket motor a couple years ago when they were cheap as chips, $28 to my door. Now the same Rocket motor costs $57. When I took the motor apart the rotor wrapping Kevlar was frayed.

Just get the order in quickly, shop closes after today.
Any 40mm can will fit, have several leopards, SSS and TP. They are all good choices, and I wouldn't hesitate getting another. They will all smoke if over stressed but no idea what happened to yours.

Just picked my 3rd one up to replace a junked leopard 4092. My 3670 does 70mph in a p class hull.
