Connector size

For the S7 connectors, I can measure on Tuesday, and report back. For any of their other connectors, I have no clue.

Nowhere on the web site does it say what the connector diameter is. For example, what the heck is REB5810 Pro S5 P8?

No but the Amain does state the size amps for the esc

Want to compare them to my 5.5mm and 8mm bullets, in case I can mix and match at the start. Not looking to make a wholesale change to my inventory.

We use crimp connectors on large AC motors and speed controllers on forklifts as soldered connections cause to much resistance and will throw off amp load. It's interesting how solder causes resistance as you would think it would be opposite, but crimping and solderless connections are actually better than solder, except it doesn't seem to matter with rc motors and ESC's as far as the micro resistance that solder can cause. I like the looks of these solderless connectors and they look pretty solid for connection too.

I have to look through my stuff if I haven't picked up bullet connectors yet for my Motor to ESC on my Hydro I may try these. Will see.

I'm a believer, I was just thinking about the electric forklift industry (I'm a Hyster tech) and I don't think we use any solder on any connections, except pcb boards, everything is mechanical or crimp. Seeing this makes me want to change all my connectors out...which is not practical, but going forward I will probably be using these on my high amp draw boats and planes.

As promised, I measured the RCPROPLUS S7 female connector...it is 7mm.

One of the biggest benefits of these, over other "crimp" style connectors is that, while others are either traditional crimp, or utilize a grub screw on only one side, the RCPROPLUS solderless connectors use two grub screws, one on each side, pushing them together. Obviously, you need to use some (blue) Loctite to hold the grub screws in place, which will add a little resistance...but, no more than solder adds. Something I've done to not only make certain I don't accidentally connect positive to negative, and visa-versa, but to also keep batteries separate depending on the boat they are for, is 'group' my batteries.

While my SonicWake uses 6S, and my Pursuit uses 4S, all batteries for these two boats have female on the battery positive, and male on the ESC positive. For my Skater X2 (which also 4S, albeit smaller capacity than the Pursuit) & TFL Jet Boat (which uses 3S), I've done the opposite, with female on the ESC positive, and male on the battery positive. Initially, I was doing this just for the Pursuit & Skater X2, as the packs are closer enough in size that I didn't want to accidentally grab, and connect, the wrong pack.

As I've been testing different motors in the SonicWake & TFL Jet Boat, I've even been using these connectors for the motor-to-ESC connection...and it's fantastic, as it makes swapping motors as easy as swapping props.
