You are right there Scott. I am not really fussed where it comes from as lomg as looks like that !!Originally posted by ozzie-crawl View Posti would be happy to have one no matter what country it came from. anyone got any idea about the stuffer tube setup looks wierd
As far as the stuff tube goes it looks o.k to me.
I think the black bit with lettering on it is heatshrink of some sort, this would reduce water ingress into the hull as far as I am aware.
Remember I am a wire-drive guy and the only flex shaft I have is on my OB for my tunnel. So my guess on the flex thing may be off.
Flex is for people who have not worked out how to run wires.
Flame suit goes on as I go out the door.
That is VERY nice cat !See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

Yep...it does have its WOW factor. Knock off or not the beauty is in the details.
I thought this was their own boats for selling purposes. Someone spend mega time on this one.
Simon, that is the sweet thing about wire drives....no messing with left and right lay issues of cable. They did a nice job on the mounting and wire looks like it would be fine on this one. Usually you have 2 bends for a cat with inner struts like that.

Graham, I think you should convert Victory into Elec power :POriginally posted by G Doggett View PostDontcha love those big cats
I could very easily be talked into converting my gas Victory or Longlite to some big electric power.
Graham.

Actually wouldnt mind a Euro hull myself at some stage in the future to do a big twin project in.

Hydrolift 1100
If anyone is intersted a friend sent me this message who has seen this cat up/close and perosonal as he has sold a couple from his (UK) Hobbie Store
Hi Stefano
If I was you I would save your money!! The hull is overpriced and they do not know what they are doing either..
The boat hull need rubbing down on the seam and painting, it comes with no plans or assembly information, the model on their website has the struts at the wrong angle (come off a larger catamamran) so no good for the hydrolift. Yes it looks great, but it is only decals

can you even run that 750kv motor on 6s or 8s untill I get a bigger esc?SPRINT CAT 40.........BOOGIMAN 25" MONO 8xl

What kind of esc you got can handle 8s but not 10s, may i askOriginally posted by bustitup View Postyup you are right ..I keep getting it mixed up with the 1521/1y I allready own

with that motor, even you running on 6s i recomend you get at least Hydra HV180 and HV240.
And yes, you can run 6s or 8s but the boat not going fast.
Btw, why not twin 1521 1y, 6s each side, much faster and much longer running time, extra fun with twin setup. Just my thought
