when programming the swordfish 300 lite, what cell battery do you hook up to the esc ?

I just use what ever pack an ESC is going to run on. Because it's usually in the boat & connected to the motor by the time I bother to programme it.

I'm running 10s (4) 5s 5000mah lipos in series and parallel. do I really have to hook all of them up?

They say to use a 3s or 4s when programing but some controllers don't care.
