I bought a used 41" cat ,looks like an HOR ,previous owner did heavy inlay ,fully dressed ,no batteries it weighs 12-1/2 lbs,it's tough to get it on top of the water ,is this heavy for a cat? My zonda is 1/2 the weight but carbon fiber and fragile ,the HOR is tough ,what do you think ?

I think my Fantasm runs about 12lbs RTR with batteries. What is the setup in it? Does it have adequate prop? How and where are the stingers mounted in relation to ride surface?

What motor, prop and cell count are you using? I have a 41" cat and it may be somewhere close to that weight too. Also, where do you have the strut and what is your COG? Pics would be good.Comment

Did he pour a few pounds of epoxy in there or something?
These cheap hulls (without any inlays) should be around 3-4 lbs or so without anything.Comment

I'm guessing that it's a falcon made by promise hobby. The 29" version empty weighed 3.5lbs empty no inlay so the 41" version will be significantly heavier.Originally posted by dmitry100 View Post

So to answer some questions ,it's got a heavy overlay inside,I haven't done a COG yet,I'm waiting for some flex shafts to come available and I can put it in the water and adjust the struts ,ran it a little last summer on seaking 180 amp,4082 -1800 kv leopard motors ,1816 -3 blade props ,wasn't fast enough,so no I stuck in 2050 kv TP motors ,running 6s,haven't ran it yet need flex shafts ,will put the 1800 kv motors in my zonda with 1815-2 blade props 6s,Comment
