    What Makes a GREAT hull????

My friend is a fabricator who works with woven carbon fiber mostly. Currently he makes experimental Intake Cowls for Williams International (jets). We toyed around with the idea of making a Race spec carbon hull. It would have to meet the race requirements and be competitive. We will be doing them for fun mostly and selling them relatively inexpensively. We think we will be able to sell a 30" carbon hull for about $225. We need your help to set some design parameters.

We need to know what is the most competitive racing class and what the hull specifications are to fit that class. Then we need a little info from you racers that will help us make the hull fast with the handling characteristics YOU WANT.

If all goes well we should have our hulls available this spring.

    Thank you

Wow, this is a great offer! I think maybe we should open a Poll.
How about you open one (there should be an option right above post #1)
so we can determine what kinda hull is the most wanted?

Then we'll take the next step.
Between, Riggers, Hydros, Cats, Monos there should be a hull people use most.

    Thanks for the offer.

That's what I was thinking Andy... a modern hardcore racing hydro with the appropriate mods to the sponsons,
motor mount and maybe a radio box built in hehehe.

My vote is for a modern turbin twin wing 10th scale hydro. Right around 36x18. An intergrated motor mount, servo mount & electronics compartment would be killer. Make the cowel easy to tape & I'll pay up front .
