Is this the water proof servo that you're refering to? I have always been very happy with savox in my 1/8, 1/5 scales vehicles and Helis. I have been looking out for a good water proof servo myself!

Yes that's the one. It's a good servo. I use them I'm most of my builds.

Yeah the savox I've heard are great...
Not to take away from the traxxas servos which have served me well for many years.
I honestly can never tell a difference in my boats when it comes to servos tho.
I've used a few now, from the 12 dollar futaba up to the $50 hitec and they've all worked well.

I had one, can't remember the brand, but it wasn't quite strong enough and my cheetah wouldn't turn at speed. Kept going straight till I'd let off some. Lol. These savox have served me well. Kept my mono straight at 90+

Yeah I'm sure there are instances when youde need a better servo.
Since most of my boats have been in the 30" range I haven't had problems with that yet.
My current df 35 uses a rather large blade speed master dual rudder, with 1 1/4 inch straight blade. So far I've had no problems with the traxxas 2075 servo, but each case is different.
I'm not sure how much torque you would need in a servo just to keep the blade straight on a high speed run?
I would think Turning puts more stress on a servo, but I'm sure the savox would have no problem handling it.

Since I'm only in the 60 mph range I can't speak about those speeds tho.
