adding weight to left sponson Hydro

I was wondering is there any reason to add weight to the left sponson to make up for the added weight of the turn fin and bracket used on the right hand side. It was just I thought I had building my whip 20 while I just have the basic framing done and I mounted the blind nuts for the turn fin you could feel the weight on that side with the bracket and fin mounted.

Imo, yes. When I built my 40 whip I added the same weight on the left with aluminum in the bottom of the rear of the sponson. I set it up as per some help here on the forums, strut depth mainly. I also didn't spare any epoxy in the front sponsons. I added equal amounts of epoxy and chopped glass to both sides. I made sure I added a bit of chopped glass/epoxy to the underside of internal joints. Withh a 20 you might want to go a little leaner on epoxy & glass. It's a wood boat so I wanted it to stay straight as long as possible. It rins very nicely and very fast.

As soon as I can get my building board I'll be doing my 20 too. Depending on what you plan on doing with it also may determine how you want to build it. Sport runing or all out speed, ovals, stock power (go real light).

When at the nats, my Phil Thomas was getting flighty so I asked ahhh, what's his name from California, never comes on here much..?? he said stuff 2 or 3 ounces in the left front nose, I did and it raan perfectly.

It may also matter how large your turn fin is too as mine are large because of water drag maybe... Seems to help, why I forot to do it on my LSH PT, I dunno...
Try to spread the weight out evenly and even try to do it to strengthen the hull.
