Their 120 looks just like the hextronic unit from UH. I would not be suprised if it is a rebranded hex. That being said I loved my Hex 120's and plan on another one. If the rebranding is a fact & Venom stands behind them it may be worth the extra money depending on the price difference. The Hex from UH is 50 bucks.

NICE! I found the venom's are pretty much if not a hex re-wrap. I never even cooled mine running 4S on 10XL. I can tell you their customer service is great. I sent in a pack and charger and they were shipped back fed-ex in 4 days turnaround. Their programming is exact to hex at least without the usb key

Can I run the Hex w/o a pistix ?

Some are able to by adjusting throttle trim below zero while calibrating it. Specially with the Spektrums. I use stick-type so I never had an issue. They are sturdy and solid. I think out of 8 I had one go bad which fortunately wasnt in my boat. HEE HEE. Sorry Kenny. I wouldnt have gave you that had I known. I would recomend the express shipping cause if not it takes a good 10 days sometimes to receive.

There is no link in that thread about making your own and Andy is not making them any more.........Im in need of one also
