moving my t-180 into another boat. however, i had shortened the esc motor wires and need to lengthen them to original length. dont have the leftover pieces to put back and only have wire that is 2 numbers thicker than the originals. will they work?

I don't like doing it that way. I rather unsold er the wires out of the posts and solder in new ones. You can see in this pic it has 10ga on it and I soldered bullets directly to the posts for the motor. Practice, practice and make sure your iron is hot enough. The little 40 watt sp40 weller you can get almost anywhere for under 20 bucks works excellent for this.Originally posted by urbs00007 View Post

Soldering and wrapping wire with another wire is the military way of having a mechanical connection as well. Then if you melt a wire it stays togther. The most contact between wires solder is the best (lowest) amp draw way.Comment
