My new acquisition, another Villain IV to build ...

    Hello everybody ,

I may be right in the middle of ridin' season, but I couldn't pass up the deal on this gem. I just can't get enough of these old school Mono's . I even got this from the kid that I originally got my last villain IV from, only he was told it was a villan EX .

that's alright, I actually prefer the scale look of the villain IV better anyway. Now I just have to figure out what to do with this one . My first villain build had the twin 19t speed gem arconites, an Astroflight ESC & x447 props on 3s power.

My last villain build is running twin 14t HPI gt-550 monster mills, an Astroflight ESC, ball bearing supported drive shafts and out drives, x447 props, water cooling and 4s & 5s power.

I'm thinking a little different on this one, if I can make it work. how about a single high torque motor spinning both of the counter rotating drives . that's something I haven't seen here yet....

Thanks bro, it's always nice when you score a vintage gem to add to your collection . Even though, I'm still chasing the elusive super kawaii .

A single brushless would be cool, however since its old school vintage, I was thinking a big bad cordite ss-1 spinning a gear set that would counter rotate both prop shafts, just keep it vintage kool ...

I agree with you that this looks way cooler than the Villain EX, the rails and the horns are the tickets to ¨ COOLDOM¨, ha ha lol...
Waiting to see what you will do, good luck and have fun with the boat!

Ha ha, I am a gm guy, but I prefer Buick's, GSX, GNX etc... :tjumbup;: . Mudstain's suck & this is the only coyote I am interested in. the coyote also went in disguise as the Knight Rider 2000 ....

it may seem like kind of a sin to do it, but I almost have everything here to set this up as a single stinger drive setup w/o having to put much money into it .

I have a Cordite SS1 race motor from fine designs, a nice Astroflight 207D ESC, a new 3/16" stinger drive setup, a good servo & a spekky ESC. about all I would need is a motor mount and a Rudder . however a villain isn't a villain without the twin outdrives ...
