I don't see why an easy out wouldn't do the trick. Should make for fast work of it.

Thanks, I will give the easy out a try. I read somewhere that the Kintec bushing was something like 2mm to long I will be sure to cut it down.

Don't know i used a drill bit. As long as u don't scuff the strut on the way out. I ground the kintec bushing down
On the end because was to long. Take ur time grinding so u don't take to much off of bushing. Check and fit.

Ose also sells a strut with Lead teflon bushings install up blackjack strut o.s.e much better than stock strut.check it out look up black jack strut o.s.o on the net is not in the usual strut section.
I have the kintec bushing have not tried it yet. Remember when u are removing the bearing that there is a sholder u want to grab the bearing and pull it out if u drill to deep with to big a drill bit u wreck this srut
The bearing should spin and come out without to mutch damage. Go slow and straight with the bit a drill press works best: MikeLast edited by montymike; 09-22-2014, 11:54 AM.

I have one of these replacement bushings. I have 3 runs on the stock bushing. Should I just replace the stocker now or wait for it to wear a little more? I guess my question is "is this a better design or just a replacement part"?

The part I received from Kintec was about 2-3 mm too long. A few seconds with a Dremel cutoff wheel had it shortened to the correct length.Originally posted by lomdel View PostIs this bushing a direct fit or is some modification neccessary?

I will check over at Kintec. Is the bushing held in place with an adhesive, or is it press fit?

Buy an aftermarket strut. No Octura lead teflon will fit the inside of strut, they are too small. You could mod the strut to take a speedmaster style bushing but, it's a fair bit of work. Kintec sells a special bushing that is a direct fit if they are in stock.
It's an oddball stuffing tube in metric as well as the strut dimensions.
