Best cat hull for first twin motor build

Which cat hull from 40" to 50" will give me the most room to work with in the sponsons for a twin set up? And what kind of set up to push it for some descent speeds. 65mph. Thanks.

A carbon fiber 41" Fantasm has plenty of room in the sponsons and you can reach speeds exceeding 65mph with the right setup.

A daytona, shocker or fantasm. I really have been thinking about building a budget rivercat twin. Using proboat stock 1800kv motors, 80 amp stock pro boat escs....would make a wicked fast 32" budget cat

I think a Daytona would be tight but not impossible. All three hulls with the right setup have exceeded 100mph.

I have a daytona on my bench being built for someone....its not that bad. the sponsons have decent room.

Any of these hull will work with twins and there are plenty of build threads out there to help out. The Shocker has the "most" room in the sponsons.

I have a rivercat with a pair of cheapo $15 turnigy outrunners and t120's on 6s and the thing flies!! I still own it as its great fun and touches 70mph on X445's Personally I thinks it's a great hull and much better than a Daytona (which Ive also built)

I built a Daytona twin with turnigy 3659 edf motors 1900 kv, T180's, and octura x447's. 3/6" flex cable, aeromarine couplers, and 6s1p Turnigy 60c 5000's. It has carbon/kevlar inlay, and Kintec 110mm struts, yesterday it ran 79.23 mph. Fastest yet. That was a rock solid run, well all the runs were rock solid. Temps after running a complete pack thru it were around 115 deg. on everything. This is a budget build. $50 motors, $77 dollar esc", $35 batteries. and the hull is only $76 from fighter cat.

I think the shocker or fantasm. People have gotten some really nice speeds with both. Me personally I would go fantasm with 2000kv 4082 leopards and start on 4s, with swordfish 220a/300 escs. There you have room to grow and can run lower cell count to get a feel for things.

Man a rivercat would be so cheap and fast to do a twin. Two cheapo motors, two sea king 120's and two 3s packs run in series to be 6s feeding both motors...that thing would fly.

My buddy is running the same exact set up as mine with the exception of ESC's. He is running a pair of XL2's. His Daytona runs 76 mph all day and never gets warm either.
