They look like car esc's with a water cooled heatsink. If they are sealed they may be difficult to mod the cooling. Also not many caps.

OSE is out-of-stock at the moment, but on Kintec's site, it says the 180a ESC is discontinued, I learned about this through another member months ago. Not sure about the 120a ESC though. I grabbed a couple while I could, lol...Too many boats, not enough time...

I don't like to speculate, but I spent a bit of time on their site and it is interesting that the only ESC in the boat category that is not listed as "STOPPED" ( discontinued in their jargon) is the 120a ESC.

Their program box/card is "STOPPED" as well.... Guess the whole firmware will be different. Interesting days ahead...Too many boats, not enough time...

I personally think the Dynamite looks a lot more like an Orion..... Which looks an awful lot like a Hobbywing...Originally posted by tlandauer View PostOn the 120A ESC, it is interesting to note that its burst current is rated same ( 720A) as the new Dynamite 120A ESC . Wonder if HobbyWing will be OEM for the incoming Dynamite.
I do know that the Hobbywing XERUNs that I use for my N1 and M2 SAW boats currently are basically the same ESCs as the equivalent Orion. They use different programming boxes, but those also LOOK identical. Not interchangable, however.
I have several of the new Dynamite 120A waterproof ESCs here, and I can tell you they are STELLAR! The throttle response is AMAZING. VERY smooth, and they seem to hold up really well. I tried them on several applications, leaving them air-cooled (fan) for now. They hold up pretty well, but ultimately, you'll want them water cooled. The thermal protection definitely works!
Biggest downfall is that they are only good to 4S. I tried 6S on them and they simply don't support it. Won't arm.
But, for your 2S to 4S applications, they really do work well. MUCH easier to drive in Offshore when you can smoothly control the throttle.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Hey Ron, I just went to the link Steven posted at the top,it brings you to the Official site, on the top right hand there is a button that says. " Old Product", click on it and you will see the list of "Stopped" product. It has three pages and I didn't see the 120a ESC, I could be wrong though, let's just hope for the best, like you, I LOVE that ESC!Originally posted by ron1950 View Posttim what site are u looking at that says stopped there are so many of em lol//
