I bought a 26in brushed shockwave a few months ago as a retrieval boat which it's doing a great job when it's calm but if there is any type of wind or chop it's lacks enough umph I was browsing through the motor and escs on this site and jeez there's so many Does anyone have a suggestion on which motor will drop in and an esc to use I plan on running on 3 or 4s I figured if I was spending money I'm going to use the boat for fun also it will be a double duty rig If I could get in the low to mid 40s I'd be plenty happy Thx much Rob

Use a 1500kv proboat motor out of a geico or a shockwave brushless, then a esc out of a geico or something comparable .. run on 4s with a 45mm carbon filled graupner prop. Heres the exact setup in actionOriginally posted by TheGnMan View Post

Does yours have the set up your recommending? Will an aquacraft 60amp esc work. I can pull one from my revolt cause I was wanting to run the revolt on 5s. Which leads me to my next question any suggestions on an esc for the revolt. I will be buying it from this site so any hobbyking suggestions wont be needed thx much RobComment

The first video is my sons and it has the exact thing im telling you to do. Its a proboat 60amp esc out of my miss geico. 45mm graupner prop ($6 in the ose store) and running 4s. It doesnt even get warm. This is an all day reliable setup. As far as which esc for you to get for your revolt, I dunno. I have a turnigy 120 amp I was running in my geico but it don't like 6s. It'll run the 2200kv castle motor on 5s just fine tho. I prefer my mamba monster esc I converted to water cooling over any esc I have. It hasn't skipped a beat. I've even run it on 6s with the 2200kv 1515 motor and it didn't get hot. The boat would just fly out the water tho. Heres the geico on 6s at about half throttle....I do blip it a couple times and you can see it jump out the water.Originally posted by TheGnMan View Post

I can't open the attachment not sure if it's just me or what. We'll thx for the advice now I just gotta decide what to do. I have 6 trucks with the 2200kv 1515 in them so pulling one might be the way to go and put the revolt setup in the shockwave than I'm buying a prop and that's it. The 1515 is not gonna fit. From what I can remember it too long to fit the sealing top on it. That's a bad idea anyway. Way too much power. It has too much power for my geico. The stock motor that comes in the geico and shockwave is perfect. If you do decide not to listen to my advice and install the mamba system, it does need to be water cooled unless you run it for under a minute. They're is no air flowing over the motor and esc and the air inside the boat will heat up quickly. Heres my geico
