Got a nice arrow wind rigger today...

Hello everybody ,

L8rg8r stopped by today and hooked me up with an arrow wind rigger .
For being a clone of Graupner's silver bullet, it seems pretty sturdy. Much better than most Chinese junk I've seen.

Its a bare hull, so I forsee another rebuild project. I don't want to bust any speed records, but be fast enough to have fun with. I don't know if I want to go with a 380 can w/ 1/8" drive, or a 550 can & 3/8" flex ?. I am thinking of 2-3s tops...

Any advice on a power / drive & rudder system ?. Thanks guys

Hi mate best set up for me was the sv27 system( yellow motor 1800kv 60amp esc) 2700 35c 4s lipo octura 440/3 s&b 150 cable you must gutted completely and lay some fibreglass to make it stronger choose your mounting and of you go it'll be tight like you can't imagine but worth it 55+ mph must buy a turn fin and foam fill the sponsoms and obviously the appropriate hardware.

Holy crap, you stirred this ol' post up . thanks for he advice but this thing has been completely gutted including the crooked stuffing tube. I was going to put a stinger outback, but that won't work with the 45° corner on the back. Now I am working on a steerable outdrive design just to be different

There was a father/daughter team racing a pair of Graupner Silver Bullets at last years Naviga worlds very successfully, both made it to the finals, neither were stock both were stretched in length. I did not see inside either, but I'm sure they would have been on 3s 4500mAh and probably a 28mm diameter 50-60mm long motor as the vast majority were. My memory card filled up in the senior event and I did not get the full race so this clip is of the Junior Final, the Silver Bullet is boat number 1 the red boat with yellow stripe.

I get confused with it and this in the spur of the moment and call it a silver arrow.
