For FE P-LTD Sport Hydro - Rules on motor and batteries?

For "FE P LTD Sport Hydro" race class - What are the rules on allowed motor and allowed
batteries? This would be for an IMPBA District 4 race. I understand the rules for the hull (mostly), but not the motor and battery. Also, I'm assuming that scratch built hulls are allowed?

I used to race nitro boats in the 80's, and thinking about getting back to boats again.

    Thanks!

IMPBA doesn't have any P-Ltd rules, as a National Organization. You'll have to check with your local club members to see what is and isn't allowed locally...

For Namba.. Motors would be any that are listed on the approved motor list (Aquacraft 1800KV and 2030 KV, and Pro Boat 1500KV and 1800KV, plus the Himax 1500KV)

Batteries would be the standard "P" allowance... "up to 14.8V nominal, 10,000 mAh max"...

ESCs in the NAMBA rules are open.

I can only assume your local rules would be similar. Please check there to find out for sure...

Ron, Do you have to troll every IMPBA P-limited thread on every board?? Why don't you go to the pond and work on setting up your boats properly.....or at least try to make a useful contribution to the forums.

Darin (post #2) pretty much sums up what most local clubs around here work with...makes sense to do that so surprises are limited when going to another clubs events.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I see that you live in WI. The Badger Model Boat Club has its last race of the season (Turkey Shoot) this Sunday, October 6, 2013. However, the registration has already closed for it. Registration normally closes 1 week prior to the race. We use http://www.rcracingevents.com for our registration process.

Here in IMPBA district 4 we race by the IMPBA fast electric rules for the P Class with one caveat… We have a gentleman’s agreement to use any one of these motors:
                  -Aquacraft 36-56-2030 (UL-1 motor)
-ProBoat A3630-1500 Motor (BlackJack 26 motor)
                  -ProBoat 1800KV Motor (Stiletto Motor)
-Original Super Vee motor: SuperVee 27 Brushless Motor L36/56 (1550kv)
                  -Aquacraft 36-56-1800kv (SuperVee 27R motor)

We do offer a FE “Run what you brung” class as well. Many of us use this class to run other power systems/classes that do not have enough entries to make the 3 boat limit for a class.

Please send me a PM with any other questions you might have. We look forward to having you join us next season.
