The first 2 numbers are the diameter the second 2 are the pitch, divide the pitch by the diameter gives the pitch ratio ie 55 divided by 42 is 1.3 ratio. The second prop 42x59 is a 1.4 ratio.

Yess, the 42 is the diameter, the 59 is the pitch, both in mm. Different companies use different systems to label thier props, this is how AQ does it. There's more to it when it comes to different blade shapes/designs, but other than the pitch those 2 should be the same. It likely will run a bit hotter, but maybe not too much, but I'd do a short run and check temps, as with any prop change.

If the boat is set up properly you can run the prop with more pitch no problem, if the boat is set up loose enough a m445 or m545 are also good props on a MC.
The stock deans connectors might not like it very much though. The connectors for the batteries and motors are the real weak link in the setup from the factory. Most people swap them out for 5.5mm bullet connectors.
Make sure the CG is correct as well as the strut depth and angle, if it's not the added load can heat things up pretty quick with a bigger prop.

whats the difference between a 42x55 prop and a 42x59 prop?

I got a aquacraft motley crew with damaged props. Stock it runs 42x55 props. I have some spare 42x59 props for my spartan laying around. Can I use the spartan props I have laying around? Will it put too much stress on the stock electronics?
