Dang Doug, You need motivation after seeing a P-Hydro whip up on a half dozen gas and nitro boats in Open Hydro last race? Get to work on that boat...after you're done doing my prop or course. LMAO!!

Good luck on the build AJ. I'll be watching. I have custom built P-Hydro JAE that I'm having a ball running this year. An older nitro racer in my club was so impressed with it, he gave me a 60 Road Runner to play with over the winter.

Hanging with nitro and gas boats with a p hydro? What's your setup?

Neu 1518 1.5D with a H7. JAE FE w/ tub 1/2" wider than stock and the sponsons 1/4" wider. With the extra width I can just squeeze a Thunderpower 6600mah pack in the opening. I ended up 2nd for the weekend behind a gas sport hydro. I don't think he was any faster than me. I just had to stay wide most of the heats. I did have a little luck from the FE Gods. I flipped twice in five heats but landed lid side up both times. Plus Doug was my pit man and was taunting the competition. LOL I would love to see more P, S and T Hydro's running. The IC guys have gotten used to the P-Limited classes over the last couple of years. It's time to show them what the FE boats are really capable of.

Yea the whole reason I'm building this one is because there is a guy here in mobile who still runs twin 91 CMB riggers and he swears that and electric boat could never hang with one of his home brew riggers... I'm hoping I can at least hang with his boat but it would be nice to completely rip him a new one with it...

I haven't seen too many twin nitro riggers, but the ones I have seen (though very fast) aren't too good at hanging on the pins. And if they are tight on the buoys, they are in lane 6 down the straights. IMHO If you build a solid 80mph boat that handles well, I think you will give the gentleman from Mobile a run for his money!!

I have seen a bunch of them. 24? at the Spring Nats this year.

Well what's your idea of a pond or lake? The place where ill be running it is about 800X400 yards in size.

i hope to order one soon but not so fast for me, need to get specs on a jig first. give me somen' to do.

Well it won't take all that area to run it I don't believe, but you would definitely need a place that's about 300x200 yds to be on the safe side
