Another question on Pool Noodle --- inside INSANE 34 MONO

Putting floatation into my Insane34 mono, my question is how much tension do you guys allow in the hull---meaning that if I leave the noodle intact, I can stuff one into each side ( port and starboard) and wedge them in, but I need to compress them a bit, not too much though. I cut smaller pieces and stuff them under the deck, I am mainly concerned with the sides. In the past I just slice them half and piece by piece I stick them in, trying not to have to compress. the Insane 34 hull is strong and I am just wondering whether I still run the risk of splitting the hull at the seam?

I find pushing the flotation noodles in to tight on say a rtr hull can split the hull open quite quickly once the pounding off running starts. I also find that on better stronger hulls it works ok until you hit something with the boat, because the hull is under tension with the noodles stuffed in tight its more likely to split so I prefer to just lightly fit the noodles.
