I've been considering a new project. Has anyone built one of these things? The specs say its exactly the same length and width of a mean machine. What's the difference? Would this make a good twin? Thanks

it's the same bottom different top and cowl i wouldn't reccomend a twin in this boat unless you are doing a twin with spec motors and I would get the mean machine becasue it's much easier to work on inside. The Mini avenger is 36" and much better suited for twins could do a twin 6 cell or 4 cell setup. With anything from 2200Kv leopards or Neu's to Neu 1527/1Y's!!!! Hmmmm now you got me thinkin about doin one of these!!!!! maybe twin 1521/1.5D's on 4S!!! hmmmmm decisions decisions!!!We call ourselves the "Q"

that hull will work well with just 1 ul1 motor, or any spec motor. I don't know if ur planning on racing it or just sport running, if racing you cant use twins in any of the P-lim classes. We call ourselves the "Q"

Well, what difference is the 21 from the mean machine other than looks? The larger Sprintcat has a different hull bottom than the mm I think...? Does it not scale down well? If I were to build one as a single it would have a 1515 or larger for sure, but if the bottom is the same as my mm it doesn't really interest me.

According to my conversation with Remy, the bottoms are identical between the MM and the SC21. Looks and aerodynamics are different. The bottoms of the MM and SC60/80 are very similar. The SC60/80 has a lifting strake on the bottom, the MM does not - because there is not room for one.

Ok, so will the Sprintcat handle better than my mm? What role does aerodynamics play exactly here?Originally posted by Fluid View PostAccording to my conversation with Remy, the bottoms are identical between the MM and the SC21.
