well like I said I do come from an RC car background and raced high banked oval on a pro level . I was sponsored and that saved me about of cost. I thought to call some of my old sponsors to see if they would be willing to help as i have known someof these people for the last 10 years. But I do understand it is going to cost a lot in that part you break and let's hope that it doesn't eat a lot of parts but that is my goal and I am looking to break a hundred miles per hour very very soon. Thank you for your kind words and hopefully I'll see your video of you hittin 100 miles per hour plus soon. And I should be following that up with mines not too far behind.

Zack, I'm not sure how much experience you have building fast boats but just wanted to give you a heads up. Not to be discouraging, because I too am seeking membership into the 100 MPH club, however there are other costs along the way. High speeds puts a lot of stress on ALL components. Things will break, parts do fail and repair/replacement costs can add up quick. That being said its quite a rush to go fast and if you decide to pursue this goal, good luck with the build.

    My latest attempt...

There is one in the F/S now for $3200, just to give you an idea. I know you want to build it yourself, but you see the price break dwon on this USED boat. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...Soft-cases-etc

My budget is two grand. I got my bonus and would really like to build one. I know I'm newer at this but ib life speed.and plan on building a outright insane project boat I can be proud of. If i had to put more with it i would buy do you think i can do it for that I'm ok going 3k. I do like the mystic and already talked to the guy rico racing and he is waiting for my call to build it. Now what is the benefit of having it made carbon fiber? Our is it not worth it setting that it add weight? I know the motors and esc's will cost some dough but want to see if it's doable in that price range? Lol ya Gabe.. gotta go big or go home sometime I'll be posting pics as i build but ask the help would be greatly welcome. . Thanks everyone ahead of time.

Getting to 100mph can definitely be done. None are stable at 100mph consistently, expect some blow overs. What is your price range? Your best bet is MHZ C5000R. You need twin for 100mph. Pretty tall order to do on 5s per side. There will be a lot of opinions here. I have an MHZ with twin 2200kv leopard 4082's. With 5s each side, it runs about 80mph on 447 props. I haven't tried the faster props I have yet. But I can tell you, any faster and it will be strictly SAW, 3-4 passes and done or the esc's will be frying eggs. It can be run on 6s per side for SAW runs also, and with 3 blade props can break 100mph.
