Wouldn't hurt. Hull's 34.25" so it's a Q as it sits

Gotta git my grubby mits on one first. Fred had the first one out of the mold but sold it before he built it. MMEU has a number of guys building or already running Q powered cats for grins. I like everything about the Cheetah accept that keaster. Other than that it's basically a Sprint cat. Accept that yout prop is much further back from the ride pads.



Someone had posted a picture of a real offshore boat in the gallery. It was very trick. Everything was color coordinated green and grey. Even the blowers were powder coated green. Someone will remember it. The rear end of that boat is fantastic.

Maybe something along the lines of the BBY Scat26. That's got more personality. Randy has a great eye for that kind of thing. I would probably round it off more though.

I want to do something better than what's on the Cheetah but different than the typical genysis/geico looking trans. Still in my head at this point.

HAHA How about a cat with no transome?............that's actually possible now that I think about it. I already have the hardware designed for it too. hmmmm

Maybe I can do a photo series on the revision.

Yes but you will have to cut off at least 1/4" from one end or the other to meet the 34" maximum length rule - either a lot of work or a poor look depending on the end you choose to cut on. Yet another good hull made illegal by a silly exclusive rule.

It's not really a good P hull. She's a fatty. My opinion. We all got one.

I'm still working on it. Ran it last night for the first time. Turns so hard you can flip it backward and plane out going backwards. Never had a cat that would turn like that. Unfortunately I don't have the setup quite right yet. Still way too planted. Shaved the rudder, chopped off the skeg, and flattened out the strut angle. Should loosen it up some. Not sure where I'll go from there.
