Looking at buying a blackjack 55 hull and building it around a leopard 4092. Just looking for some advise. I already have the motor. So is it enough should I get a second and run is as a twin. And what kind of speeds might I be looking at run as a single and a twin. Any input is good input. Thanks guys.

I'd do some research to find out if that hull can handle speeds over 40mph. I know the smaller blackjack doesn't corner very well. I built one for a customer who bought it off ebay and didn't know what he was getting, it was junk. I cleaned it up and dialed in as much as I could with what parts he had and it did not turn out well at all. Search youtube for blackjack55 FE

If you want something reasonably priced with minimal building I would get the zonda cat and put twin 4092's 1730kv. It's 41" long which is a good size boat. I'm building a custom zonda right now with twin 4074s which I think will be under powered.

I would sell it and buy 4074 2000kv motors for 6s. Idk the speeds you're looking to reach but the boat will run 80mph with setup I listed. If you want a boat that runs 65 mph go leopard 4074 1600kv and it will be very reliable. I understand you have the leo 4092 but that motor would sell in a matter of hours in the buy n' sell section of this site. Of course your decision but twin 4092 will just be overkill in the boat.

On 5s with those motors the boat is really moving I believe they're only like 3674 motors.

They fit.Originally posted by Jason4636 View PostFantasm and zonda are the same boat. I'm not sure if twin 4092 will fit. The best guy to ask is Keith Bradley.
