Electrified

The guy who designed it was in my old club, but he's been out of boating for a long time. It as intended for 6 nickel cells and an 05 car motor. Quite a few were built in its day. I don't have any pics other than what you can find in a Google search. What else would you like to know?

Fluid, all these years I though YOU designed the electrified.
Neat little boat, can still hang with the best of 'em in the stock classes. I've raced against many of them in N-1 and they gave me a challenge every time..

The only pics I found of an electrified had these strakes on the bottom. I was kinda frustrated because I didn't know they were there and I have already painted my hull. I guess I can add them anyway and repaint. It's all part of the hobby. But I made some searching and I guess they aid in the boat not flipping over. I will add them. Thank you for the recommendation I think I have that kind of wood available at home.

Hey, I notice you have a fin only on one side of the boat. Is the other one missing or is it like that for any particular reason?

Some race monos handle so well that thy only need one fin on the right turn side. A driver rarely needs to do a sharp enough left to bend the boat out of shape. One fin reduces drag. Jay Stolz's boat is a dialed in race boat.

We race clockwise. So, I only need a turn fin on the right side of the boat.

That's out of my league... I just want something to run around our pond. Would be cool to have one but not enough space for something like that I think

Yeah, it is a bit on the large size. To convert it to electric would take a fairly good size motor/ battery pack combination. Maybe one of the big Leo's and 8-10S. Besides you would also have to make a waterproof hatch for it. Maybe Zipp could make a smaller version?

I saw a couple of videos of it on you tube. The thing scoots! I dunno how good this idea is but I recently saw a local guy that scratch built a boat and it had a weed whacker engine in it. Not sure how effective that is. But he did it.

My boat is coming along good I have pictures but I'm on my tablet and I can't post pics here for some reason. And the plans finally got here. Mine is like 4 inches longer than the one on the Plan I thought the electrified was 22".
