a set of speaking 180's and a program card would be a great step in the right direction. I've got three now, one in everyone of my fe boats. There reliable and water proof, had one of the under three times now...
Slow and steady isn't my pace

Take some pictures of them if you can and post them,
They may be the cheap 2 pole motors that come in the HK boats.
And they run hot some times and eat the amps up to.
                  ? ONLY IF THEY WORK

The 120 should be fine. 180 is always great to have more headroom, but not nessecary in your case

                          Ok,
This is the motors that you bought ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/XYH-B3656-KV...p2047675.l2557
If so there good to 5s but I would say with 4s and check temps at 1 minute and then 3 minutes.
