Replacement boat for Spartan drivetrain?????

Okay so I am having trouble getting the chine walk out of my Spartan so I was thinking about putting the stock stuff back in and running it on 5S. so then what would be a good fast stable hull to put my 4092 1480KV and Seaking 180 in?
Has anyone ran one of these?

There is no damage on this nearly new boat. You are seeing camera flash shadowing and picture #4 verifies this. With present motor on 6s, the boat is capable of the low 60's.

ok so i put the batteries back in the back turned the LVC off and well.......

So the ESC was filled with water i never hit any controls but it stuttered just as i got the batteries to pull them. everything is in rice bags now. what do you think my chances are that it is okay?

Water inside any esc's electronics isn't good. If you get on it *straight* away with the likes of WD40 you might save them. Make sure they're *dry* before you go anywhere near using them again. Is that the Seaking 180? You need to seal those up pretty well before installation in a boat in my opinion. They have a plastic case around their electronics board that *isn't* waterproof at all - you *need* to waterproof it or run it in a watertight box. If the water was in it for any length of time my bet is it's finished. But dry it out for a good length of time and try again............. Carefully...... Hope it works for you.

Yes it is the SK180 and i had it covered it with liquid tape but i guess i missed a spot. i see where one guy fills the whole case with liquid tape. it was in there about an hour by the time we retrieved it and got it home and apart. i died it with air and it has been in a bag of rice and desiccant for 2 days so far. will Steve fix it if i send it in?

Although Steve is a man of many talents, fixing a fried esc is a tall order. You may be ok. Going from memory here, but I seem to remember you can take the bottom cover off the Seaking 180's. If you did that and are getting it dried out then you're doing all you can do. Just test it and see how it goes. But.... I got water inside a SK 180 not long ago and it was curtains - even after I'd dried it out and gave it the wd40 treatment. Once you get water inside electronics components there's not a lot you can do. But - try it and just see if it lives. Put it in the sun to get some heat into the unit to hopefully evaporate the moisture from inside all those components. Worth a try....
