I went to pick-up the new Impulse 31 today. I didnt have much time to mess with it on my way thru to a meeting in Charlotte MI, so they talked me into leaving it there on the counter to show (drew lots of ooo's and aah's) until my return trip...Long story short, I didnt make it back in time to pick it up on the way back thru town! First quick impression was of it's great finish. Not sure yet if its the gel-coat or paint but it sure shines with no orange peel like the Revolt I looked at. The decals look no better than my Stiletto but I'm planning on clear-coating the whole thing to lock them on. Got my fingers crossed "IF" it will work. The guy who runs our paint shop is confident but if the decals are some odd material it may end up being a mess. Anyway, I'll have to make a 40 mile detour coming home from work tomorrow to fetch it!
Oh yea, it comes with a DX2E Transmitter and not a DX3E. I just need to get it home on the bench and study it over a Coors Lite or two. I'll post some pics and please feel free to comment...I'm not thin skinned, and I dig sharing the good and the bad. That's how we learn!
