I'm adding a bit of paint to the hull and soldering on 5.5mm bullets on the motor and esc right now..Originally posted by srislash View PostThank T,I did not even know Steve had these.

Ok, raced my 33" in LSH today with the UL-1 motor
first round a M445, boat did well but fllipped and temp check really could not happen but it felt on the hot side when brought in
2nd round I tried the CNC 43mm and it ran good but the boat runs wet.. temps were 110*ish.. packs down to 25%
went to the CNC 45mm for the 3rd round, boat was a tad faster but still wet, temps were 118*motor 120*esc, packs down to 21%
then tried a S220 and the boat ran better but still wet, temps were 108*motor and 108*esc and that was on 7 laps not 6 because I cut a buoy and had to run an extra lap, and my packs had 29% left
took second in the last heat

I know this is an old thread but I am heading out this Sunday for some test and tune stuff and I will bring this Aussie 33" hydro with the UL-1 power in it
I talked with the builder of this boat (Chris) and he thinks my CG is to far forward causing my wet running hull
shifted the CG back about 2" along with a repaint on this hull..

Good luck with the run. Two inches is pretty drastic so be carefull. If CG is too far back and your stern is dragging, amps will go through the roof.Mike Chirillo

thank you sir.Originally posted by Chilli View PostGood luck with the run. Two inches is pretty drastic so be carefull. If CG is too far back and your stern is dragging, amps will go through the roof.
I had my CG way to forward from the start if I remember right, and this hull was built for P Sport Hydro that needs a more forward CG
but we are not racing this class
so I'm trying LSH
and I think from what Chris is telling me I am about 1" back from his P Sport setting

Is this the new metalicy orange paint job? If so, when do we get to see it?See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Just to add something the 33" sport hydro you have is fairly light, about the same weight as most 30" hydros so you might be able to throw the same props as them, but always checks temps before going up prop sizes

that is one thing that stands out with me on this hull Chris, it is light !Originally posted by Hydro111 View PostJust to add something the 33" sport hydro you have is fairly light, about the same weight as most 30" hydros so you might be able to throw the same props as them, but always checks temps before going up prop sizes

Carbon Fiber does wonders
and I need to get you some pictures of this bad boy with the repaint
maybe even a video for you that you might be able to use and show as a LSH.NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8s

Brushless.
If the H-5 warms things up too much, an H-2 might work better. 1mm less diameter & a fraction less pitch that helps the ul1 motor rev a bit more freely.See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!
