Bullet connectors help please

Ok can I cut the wires on leo 4082 to put the O.S.E 5.5 bullet connectors on it ? I seen a video that said the motor won't work if u do.

never heard that before,All I have heard is that motor wires are harder to tin with solder usually so most guys shorten esc wires instead...what was the reasoning behind that I wonder?

Don't cut, just desolder then solder on new ones
