    72" MHZ Mystic C5000 setup

I'll be buying the 72" Mystic C5000 cat from MHZ USA and have it built for next summer. So I'm looking for an electric setup (at a medium cost) that'll make this boat motor at around 50MPH with run times around 5 min.
    What do you guys suggest?
HK Genesis, DF Vortex, Baja 5T, Lazer ZX-5 sp, XXX, 8T, P51-D Mustang Shangrila, GP Giant P51-D Mustang, Blade 400 3D, with way too many more to list.

Twin 5698 4D's on 9 or 10s outta get you there...............very affordable too!

Castle 2028's are about 50% more $$ but are more powerful.

For a hull like that, Well if me, some big Lehners. When you say medium cost you can just use some cheap ESC's and expensive motors. that equals medium. I think lehner has a special on the bigger 30 series at the moment.

This should be a nice build!!

When you say has more power, what do you mean? More torque, speed, etc.

I like the sound of Lehner's too. They are a better motor reliability wise no?

spend a lot of money for Lenher and reach 50mph only i think is crazy....
if 50mph are enough for you you can choose Keda motors and spend nothing....
but with a boat like this i'd like to reach at least 100mph, so Lehner, or Tenshock CZII should be the right choice...

The 2028 can put out more wattage than a 5698..............probably 25% more. Its probably a bit more efficient and its larger at 56 x 113mm vs 56 x 98mm for the Leopard. I still believe you can hit 50+ with the Leopards

Tenshock CZII in a 72" boat??? I think you're way off. I don't think you could do it with four of them, and I'm not sure what Keda you would run to get 50mph.
Perhaps you missed the size of the boat?

I took a peek and the biggest Tenshock I found was the CZ 2760 8 pole at 45 x 80mm................I bet its pretty strong, rated at 4500 watts, but its no match for a 5698 or 2028.

So out of these motors, Tenshock , Neu, Keda, Castle and Lehner. Which will last the longest and go the fastest. 50 MPH was just a guess at the medium price range equipment. If I can go faster great.

Define " medium" . If you dont want to go " exotic " with motors, buy 2028's. As far as speedos, maybe try Swordfish 240's.

Ok, my 10c! Go Lehner!!!!! If your asking quality compared to Leos, TP and stuff? then don't worry. From bearings to everything, even looks, Lehner is far superior, anyone will tell you (anyone that have some). But if you have a boat like that, just to cut mounts for cheap motors, then why bother. Get a cheap boat all together. And try your hardest to reach 50mph.
In my opinion, motors are very personal to a boat because they are mounted. Esc's and other equipment can just be replaced.

Special offer: Motor 3060/14 LK Axle 10mm (500 rpm / Volt, Pmax ca. 7000 Watt!) 460 Euro each.
SF240HV on 12s with 7018 props, and you will be around the 70mph. Go Figher Cat ESC 's on 16s and just imagine.
Believe me your 50mph is not hard to brake.

                      Again just my 10c

Now for 100mph in this hull you need to spend money if you want more than 1 run. 3080 Lehner would be much safer.

I guess a medium price range would be around 1500 or so. I want the quality motors and hardware but will go cheaper on the batteries (to some extent) and esc's

1500 for just motors? You could get Neu 2230s...
Of course motors are not the expensive part of building one of these, but I asume you've already looks at the MHZ stuff.
