It's nice being able to see what your true speed is... Yes they all can give wrong readings. Can I still say my whip does 88???

I had an Eagle Tree but amperage was a concern plus I didnt find it as useful as I once thought it would be.

I read someone had the Voltron version GPS and it was 10 MPH over...

Most of the SAW passes I've made in the past 8 years have been with a GPS on board, and I proved it to be very accurate. As long as the passes were straight through the traps, all of them were within 1-2 mph of the official timing values. They could not read the same since the SAW timing is an average of 330 feet while the GPS measures on a different interval. The 160 mph reading above was clearly wrong, yet was taken with the same GPS used in the above passes. Sometimes things just glitch.

I did a little research. Come to find out the Voltron V1 had some issues with speed accuracy. The V2 the made improvements including a faster processor for better accuracy.

The HK one uses the V2 software but the same processor of the V1 Voltron units.

Not sure if its worth the $40 risk. I would rather spend the extra for the better unit. Guess I will be ordering it from Velocity RC.
