I have no personal experience with the Swordfish esc but i seem to remember disscusions about some Swordfish models of esc having problems where the throttle had a delay on shutting off immidiatally. Could also be the water on your electrics as well.

You should coat the ESC in Liquid Electrical Tape. That is what I have done with mine.Or Conformal Coating,it only takes a drop of water in the wrong spot and POP...

You should listen to the people trying to help you. It's water resistant, NOT water proof. The Swordfish is ESPECIALLY sensitive to moisture, you'll see soon enough.

The faster you want to go the more things get more complicated and components work that much harder

When someone says t180 or t120 they are talking about turnigy esc

Swordfish esc do not like getting wet at all, the T120a & 180a are also the same esc as the Seaking 120a & 180a & the same prog card for both makes.

                                OK YUD:
listen to these folks and you can't go wrong.
On the steering rate look at it this way: on the JAE a little rudder goes a LONG way. I have mine set
up for ONLY 1/4" throw left and right. These things turn on a dime. NEXT: make sure EVERYTHING
in the boat is completely dried out. (Servo, receiver, ect. (especially the ESC.)) CORSION-X is in order here. NEXT: get some liquid tape
or a similar product and water proof that esc. NEXT: get a tube of CLEAR Silcone sealant from home depot, lowes, ect.
and then remove the hardware off the back of the boat and stick each bolt of the rudder and strut bracket
into the tube of silicone and re-insert it back into the brackets and then into the boat and tighten EVERYTHING
back up. (this seals all the bolt holes for the rudder and strut). make sure your pushrod seal is also sealed as well.

re-install all the guts inside the boat, charge up the batteries, grease up the flex shaft and there you have it.

again, these folks are trying to help you out in every way they can guy. Listen to them. These folks are great on the forum.
