Seen this while rummaging through FB. Looks really nice as a daily with no flip worries. Just hope they put a purge valve close to the bottom of the hull or what a waste of a neat hull design if it holds water after flipping it. Does anybody else make a self righting hull? With AMains price of 475.00 It will definitely be on my next big RC purchase!!! Just wish you could just buy the hull :). Wonder how bad the torque role will be with a bigger motor and 6s. Anybody who has this on pre order please do a nice review for all of us old JS owners :).

The other roll over hull is the synchron by Toysport which is for sale under hulls on this website. That boat is a top of the line boat with excellent handling.

It's basically the same hill as the venom p1. I wonder if it's as thin too? It's a pretty poor handling hull in the turns! Same style outrunner.

There is another thread where someone posted a video by Kyosho demonstrating the self-righting capability. When the guy fllps the boat you can see the stepped bottom and the shape of the transom is the same as P1, the only thing different is the flood chamber.

Don't you think there is a lot changed(better) on the interior? Look liked they had added a nice waterproof box and had also found some way to seal the hull without tape. I noticed the interior work looked better than what we normally see.

You could be absolutely right, I wasn't even thinking about the interior, I was just amazed that the hobby world is such a small world in today's internet age. I definately am not bashing Kyosho and for the record I own a P1 and rather enjoy it. They seemd to use a different type of ESC as well. The off-set rudder is a good move, my P1 was GPS'ed @ 41mph, not bad for the P1, but w/o the off-set rudder it chine walks a bit, ironically the one run it didn't do that was when i hit something in the water and the rudder was kicked up---completely out of water. She was like on rails. Luckily the boat was running back towards me and no rescue was needed. I believe the rudder bracket is too short and the front of the blade is really too close to the prop, the prop wash must have an effect on the quality of the ride.
The kyosho is beautiful, no doubt about it.

I have played with several different roll over type boats and the only one I have seen so far that check's off all the boxes for me is the Toysport synchron. Its biggest problem is the very high price you have to pay for it. To me, the biggest thing that turns off people new to the hobby is the issue of dealing with a boat that is on its back in the middle of a not so clean pond or something. Takes away from the "fun" when you now have to spend time and energy just trying to get your boat back. I am still waiting to see someone to produce a nice P-Limited Mono that handles well and also rolls over for a good price. Sounds like this hull is so-so from what you are saying, but set up is everthing and we will have to see how she does.

Yes, I have been reading and watching your thread on this boat on the other site. Interesting and you have made great progress on it. I am in the market for something that rolls that is about 27" - 33". It would be great to race a boat like that in P limited mono or even P mono and then roll it, but still be able to stay in the race to finish. Which a lot of times will still net you a top 3 finish, because most of em' don't ever complete the race. Of course, not so sure it would be in the 'spirit' of racing even though the rule books don't keep you from doing it.
