N2 is an "Open Motor" class... "Up to 7.4V, ANY motor"... Be ready to pull a LOT of amps...

N1 is "Up to 7.4V, ROAR legal 'Stock' motors"... This means 27T brushed or one of the ROAR listed/approved 17.5T BL offerings. This is how the NAMBA rules read. Some of the local clubs back east who still run this class I believe are still restricting the boats to the Brushed 27T motors... so check with your local club...

NAMBA rules only specify the motor... so traditionally, that's all it's been. ESCs have been open.

However, if you want the system to actually work to it's potential, you'd want to use an appropriate sensored ESC... preferably with the "boost mode" timing features... Motor, alone, is only about 2100-2200KV...
