Shoe goo or Mono caulk?

That stuff is pricey! It is cheaper then loosing a boat to a pier or a wall though, ill look into getting it. I was pushing my boats hard in the turns. The meanmachine is a heavy hull with two 5s 5000 packs....



I hit both the hull and the mount with my dremel and scratch the heck out of it! I'll try and hit it some more and see what happens. Like I was telling tony, I was pushing hard in the corners at full throttle, at 55 mph thats a lot of force....

My P-Mono weighs 9.5 lbs with 2 4S 5000's on board. One day I was being stupid in huge waves and backflipped it. The entire rail assembly with motor, servo, and both batteries broke loose. That was with QuickBond 30 minute epoxy. Now it's redone with G-Flex !

QuickBond costs $9.59 for 9 ounces. G-Flex costs $19.95 for eight ounces. I have a company - RCBOATBUILD and build FE boats for my customers. My company motto is : "Built only One Way-the Right Way." I'll build, on the average, eight boats (+/_) with one epoxy purchase. Spending an extra $1.50/boat (math's close but not perfect) gives me and my customers peace of mind - worth it, you'll agree.

Just get some shoe goo. In less than 24hrs all will be said and done. And if you place the hull in a vertical position, nose up. It will pool better around the hardware penetrating thru the transom. BTW I like to thin my SG with Toluene if you need to.

I couldn't agree more Tony, I have no problem spending the cash to do it right. I will order that stuff for my hulls. Thanks for the tip! Have you used the G-Flex on the carbonfiber to servo mount that is layed on the mm hull directly?

Haven't bonded to the CF in my MM; there was none (mine was a water-damaged cheapo). Just agressively scuff both the bottom of the servo mount and the CF in your hull(s) and bond away. I make sure to fill up the servo mount holes with G-Flex for extra measure.

Thats what I did this last time and it just popped off. Ill get the g-flex and give that a try I and sure it will hold from the data I saw on it.
