I have a UL-1 I am going to be racing in limited spec hydro. I need a set of good quality race packs and was wondering if I should get hyperions or the Grim Racer 40c 2s packs.

I am currently run the GrimRacer batteries in all of my applications, and I think anyone in our club will tell you my boats will run with the best of them... However, I don't think you can go wrong with either one of them.
Hope to see you out at our pond sometime this summer!

Sounds good. I am not gonna be able to make this sunday's race because i am finishing up at MSU. Let me know when you are out to practice as I am getting my boat dialed in and just need to get some testing done with it. Will a UL-1 hang with the pack in LSH?

Is that directly with the manufacturer? I've heard about ThunderPower doing something like that, but never Hyperion. Not judging, just curious...Originally posted by dana View PostI'm gonna sat Hyperion, because you can trade in you're packs for 40% off new ones once you've used them up.
On another note, you can get 2+ years of good club racing out of a QUALITY set of lipos (assuming they are properly taken care of). GrimRacer and Hyperion's will do that for ya!

Bummer, we have been hoping you’d show up soon. It's fun group of guys with a nice balance between competition and fun. Practice is during the week on Wednesday nights starting at 4:30-5:00 until dark or everyone leaves. The UL-1 is a great way to get your feet wet with organized racing.Originally posted by jfrancisco892 View PostSounds good. Check out MMEU.com it has 2011 information, but most of it should give you an idea about the club.

Thanks. How many people normally show up on race day? And just out of curiousity how do you charge batteries at the pond?

The club is really healthy this year! Right now there is around 6-8 racers with 28 boats... Some charge off their car battery, some have genarators, some have deep cycle 12v batterys...

Unless the monsoons are rolling we're out every Wed. Somebody usually posts on wed in the club forum to verify that we'll be there.
I charge off my car on practice days and off a geny on race days.
I only bought my first set of Grims this season. My Hyperians have multiple seasons on them. My offshore packs are heading into their thirs summer of racing.
Anybody know the full skinny on this trade in actions with Hyperian? I've never heard of that.Noisy person

Our pond is gated, so we need a club member there that possesses the key there to open up. best place to check is on or both of the links below
This is our 'official' spot to find out about club information.... http://www.rumrunnerracing.com/fefor...splay.php?f=60
However, those responsible also try and post the same information here too.... http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ric-Unlimiteds
