John, you need to read it again. Nobody on here has said they are in favor of the new nitro rules. Not sure who the big dogs are that you think you're not agreeing with.
None of this effects any electric racing at this time and if it leaked into NAMBA FE there would be a mutiny. I would lead that charge myself.
Only IMPBA allows a chairman and/or the executive board to enact a trial set of national level rules that effect everyone. In NAMBA, that has to be done at the grass roots level. Prove it to us before you try to take it national. Unless it's a safety issue of course. Then by all means have the BOD step in. It's the inherent flaw in IMPBA. If you don't like the direction your leaders are going you vote those leaders out. Unfortunately, the damage is already done. Fortunately, I believe the current FE chair for IMPBA does have FE's best interest in mind. I feel that's true for both organizations. This will likely be the first time in years that I actually join IMPBA.
I still wonder about the reasoning for this change to the nitro rules. What's the motivation? All changes to rules are designed to address a problem. Something inspired someone to pick up a pencil so to speak. So......what fer?
