Not at all. The only brushless waterproof esc I know is the Mtronics. There is most likely others. Heh. For instance, the Proboat brushed esc is potted in resin inside an aluminum housing. Definately waterproof. Surely there are others the same.
ESCs like the one at the top of this thread is simply electronic boards inside a plastic case. Not waterproof, but water resistant. ESCs with shrink wrap are water resistant and usually don't like being submerged.
What other brands have resin potted ESCs? I'm always on the lookout for something better than the brushless car ESCs currently used in my combat ships. :)
